PROJECT TICK DATA LICENSE Version 2, 2 February 2026 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright (C) 2026 Project Tick <https://projecttick.org/> Permission is hereby granted to any person or entity obtaining a copy of the licensed data, dataset, or collection of information (the "Data") to use the Data subject to the terms and conditions set forth below. This License governs the use, processing, transformation, and redistribution of the Data. This License does not apply to software code, executables, or documentation, which may be licensed under separate terms. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Definitions "Data" means any structured or unstructured dataset, database, collection of records, annotations, labels, measurements, logs, corpora, or similar informational material provided under this License. "Derived Data" means data resulting from the transformation, aggregation, normalization, annotation, filtering, or analysis of the Data, excluding AI model parameters or weights. Provided that Derived Data does not permit Reconstruction of the original Data beyond what is allowed under this License. "Model Output" means any output generated by an artificial intelligence or machine learning system trained on or making use of the Data. "Reconstruction" means the ability to reproduce, extract, or recover substantial portions of the Data in a form that is recognizable or substantially similar to the original Data. Reconstruction does not include irreversible statistical influence or non-reversible aggregation where the original Data cannot be reasonably extracted or reidentified. "Commercial Use" means use of the Data in connection with monetization, paid access, advertising, subscription services, commercial products, or revenue-generating activities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Permitted Uses Unless otherwise explicitly stated by the copyright holder, the Data MAY be used for: a) Accessing, viewing, and inspecting the Data; b) Analysis, research, and experimentation; c) Transformation or creation of Derived Data; d) Benchmarking, evaluation, and testing purposes; e) Training, validation, or evaluation of artificial intelligence systems, subject to Section 5 of this License. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Redistribution The Data or Derived Data MAY be redistributed, provided that: a) Attribution to the original source is preserved; b) This License or a clear reference to it is included; c) Any modifications to the Data are clearly indicated; d) Redistribution does not enable Reconstruction of the original Data except to the minimal extent inherent in the Data as originally provided. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Artificial Intelligence Use Unless otherwise explicitly stated by the copyright holder: a) The Data MAY be used for training, fine-tuning, or evaluating AI systems for non-commercial purposes; b) Use of the Data for training or fine-tuning AI systems intended for Commercial Use is NOT permitted under this License unless expressly authorized by the copyright holder under a separate written agreement; Commercial Use includes the use of Model Outputs in commercial products or services where the AI system was trained or fine-tuned using the Data. c) AI systems trained on the Data MUST NOT enable Reconstruction of the Data; d) Model Outputs MUST NOT contain substantial portions of the Data. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Prohibited Uses The Data MUST NOT be used for: a) Circumventing legal, contractual, or ethical restrictions applicable to the Data; b) Misrepresentation of the origin or integrity of the Data; c) Extraction or redistribution of the Data in a manner intended to enable Reconstruction where such Reconstruction is restricted; d) Use that violates applicable data protection, privacy, or confidentiality laws. The licensee is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. No Patent or Data Rights Grant This License does not grant any express or implied patent rights, database rights, or rights to personal data contained within the Data, except as explicitly stated herein. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8.
